We are a training and consultancy service that provide tailored and specialist workshops to organisations such as schools, after-school clubs, youth organisations, day care facilities, nurseries, private healthcare facilities (and more).
Our training focuses on supporting your staff teams to understand why behaviours may be occurring in your setting and providing the tools for staff to feel confident in identifying the functions and reasons behind the behaviours.
We can facilitate staff teams to reflect on their own skills, and how they can utilise these, alongside the knowledge provided, to develop strategies and individualised plans to manage behaviours for children and young people.
Our training is evidence based, and utilises our years of specialist experience working directly with children, young people, and adults with various neurodiverse conditions and intellectual disabilities. Our team is made up of an Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Behaviour Therapist and Registered Intellectual Disability Nurse.
We have directly observed the continued pressure on staff who support children presenting with behaviours of concern and the impact this has on staff. We are aware of the continued pressures on education and healthcare settings to meet the needs of a diverse range of children and young people within their care. Traditional training may not have caught up with the rapid rise in the numbers of children with additional needs and SEN within mainstream settings- our aim is to help meet this need.
By developing care providers knowledge and understanding around behaviours of concern, we hope to create confident staff teams, and supportive environments for the children within your care.
